Tara Sutaria, who is making her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2, has walked out of Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Arjun Reddy’ Hindi remake. The upcoming action drama was supposed to be Tara’s second film after ‘SOTY 2’ but the actress had to leave the film owing due to the shift in the release of ‘Student of the Year 2’, which also stars Tiger Shroff and Ananya Panday.

A report in a leading daily suggested that Tara had to bow out of the film as she is yet to complete the shoot of SOTY 2 and her dates clashed with the schedule of ‘Arjun Reddy’.

“Yes, it is true Tara is not a part of our film anymore. Our shoot is on schedule and we should be locking our leading lady in the next couple of days,” film’s producer Murad Khetani told Mumbai Mirror.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who helmed the 2017 Telugu original film, will also helm the Hindi remake. Shahid Kapoor, who recently welcomed a baby boy into his family, has grown a full-beard for his role. The shooting of the film will commence from next month and it will hit the silver screens on June 21, 2019.

Shahid, who will be next seen in 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' opposite Shraddha Kapoor, had earlier shared a picture with Arjun Reddy's producer and director on Twitter.

Talking about Tara, the newbie’s debut film ‘SOTY 2’ is slated to release on May 10, 2019. The Puneet Malhotra directorial is the second installment of the ‘SOTY’ franchise. The first part was directed by Karan Johar and it marked the big Bollywood debut of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra.
