Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput were blessed with a baby boy on September 5, whom they named as Zain Kapoor. As soon as the good news reached the internet, congratulatory messages from fans and Bollywood celebs started pouring on social media. Shahid’s ‘Mausam’ co-star Sonam Kapoor had congratulated the couple for welcoming a little bundle of joy in their lives. The ‘Veere Di Wedding’ actress said that it’s sweet that Misha now has a brother to play with.

Sonam, who is currently busy shooting for ‘The Zoya Factor’ opposite Dulquer Salmaan, took to Twitter to write, ‘’Congratulations Shahid and Mira on the new addition to the family. Now cutie Misha has a brother to play with.’’


The ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ actor responded to all the congratulatory messages on Twitter and thanked Sonam for sending her love. Shahid also asked the ‘PadMan’ actress when she is planning to start her own family.

Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with businessman Anand Ahuja on May 8 this year and since then has been giving us some serious relationship goals. We also wonder when the ‘Neerja’ actress will follow Shahid’s suite.

 Sonam and Shahid are known to share a good bond and the former even called the ‘Sanju’ actress his 3am friend in one of his interviews.

Talking about Zain Kapoor, Mira and Shahid brought their newly born son back to home on Friday evening. The first pictures of the infant had gone viral on the internet in no time.

Mira Rajput’s mother Bela, Shahid Kapoor’s mom Neelima Azim, brother Ishaan Khatter, father Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak and Sanah Kapoor paid a visit to the ‘Padmaavat’ actor’s house to welcome the baby boy.
