Sonam Kapoor blasts media over fights on 'Veere Di Wedding' sets!
New Delhi: It seems like Sonam Kapoor is really angry and it has something to do with some of the reports on her upcoming movie 'Veere Di Wedding'.
Recently, there were reports about a supposed 'fight' on the film's sets, which have forced Sonam to issue a statement dispelling the rumours.
Taking it to her official Twitter handle, the 'Neerja' star cleared the air and put through her opinion in a straight way.
She wrote, "Dear websites, you can put out as many 'blind items' (a.k.a gossip you were too lazy to fact check) as you like pitting women against each other, it may get you clicks but it won't be the truth. Must you insist on shoving this tired patriarchal concept of women fighting into our film (which is not about road trip) as if grown, intelligent women have nothing better to do."
‘Over protective’ Anil Kapoor ‘caught’ peeping into Sonam Kapoor’s phone; beau Anand Ahuja Comments!
Sonam Kapoor shares adorable selfie with Kareena & other actresses of ‘Veere Di Wedding’ from set! The post continued, "We will continue be actual friends and try and make a kick a** movie and prove that women can work with each other, get along and have a blast." The actress slammed the website, saying that the trend of 'blind items' is "outdated, irresponsible, harmful and frustrating for a culture of women, who actually want to work together." 'Veere Di Wedding' also stars Swara Bhaskar and Kareena Kapoor in pivotal roles. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and written by Mehul Suri and Nidhi Mehra, 'Veere Di Wedding' will have a 2018 release.#VeereDiWedding pic.twitter.com/I0aLmAdu6w
