New Delhi: Bollywood celebrities and television stars took to Twitter and Instagram to share their heartfelt wishes as the Dabangg actor Sonakshi Sinha turned 33 on Tuesday.


Sonakshi’s father, veteran actor and former MP, Shatrughan Sinha, took to twitter to shower blessings. Expressing gratitude that the family was spending time together amid the Covid-19 lockdown, he wrote, “This week is very special for my family, as we have a lot to thank for during this lockdown period. The family got to really spend some good quality time together. Today we all celebrate our darling @sonakshisinha Sona's birthday. May she always be positive & abundantly blessed.”



Sharing a photograph with her on Twitter, Kal ho na ho actor Preity Zinta wrote, “Happy Birthday my darling Sona. Wish you all the wonderful things, today and always. Keep Smiling and shining always. Love you loads.”



Turning to Instagram stories, popular fashion designer Anita Dongre wrote, “Wishing our golden girl @aslisona a very Happy Birthday.”


Calling Sonakshi a ‘bindaas dost’, actor and host, Manish Paul, wrote, “Happy birthday meri bindaas dost @aslisona.”



Comedian and actor Sunil Grover wrote, “Happy birthday @aslisona you kind a kind soul. Stay happy and healthy.”


In her quirky reply, the Lootera actor wrote, “Thank you Sunil!!! But humari photo kaha hain.”

The actor’s brother, Luv Sinha, posted a cute childhood photograph of Sonakshi on Instagram and shared an emotional message. He wrote, “Happy birthday @aslisona, may you shine even brighter with each year and bring more happiness into everyone’s lives. I’m hoping that we finally get the chance to work together once everything is better.”



Fashion designer Manish Malhotra also posted a picture on Instagram and wished the actor.

After a short stint as a costume designer, Sinha made her acting debut in the action-drama movie Dabangg in 2010, which won her the Filmfare Award for best female debut.


Sinha will be next seen in ‘Bhuj: The pride of India’, a drama-action movie being directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. The cast includes, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati and Parineeti Chopra. The film is based on the story of around 300 Gujarati women, who had a pivotal role during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. The movie is all set to release on 14 August, 2020.
