New Delhi: Sidharth Malhotra’s film ‘Yodha’ has been postponed once again. The film will now be released in theatres on March 15, 2024, three months after its previous date. By postponing, the film has averted the clash with Sriram Raghavan's ‘Merry Christmas’ starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, which will release on December 8.

Dharma Productions shared the new release date of the film on its official X page.

"Hold onto your seats, for you're about to experience a ride like never before. The runway is set for #Yodha to take off on 15th March, 2024!" The post read.

This is the third time the release date of the film has been pushed. The film was earlier scheduled to be released in November last year and was postponed to July 7, 2023, and then further rescheduled to December 15.

The film touted as an action franchise was announced in 2021 by Karan Johar.

Karan Johar recently spoke about the film and shared, "Oh my God! Yodha was a tough film. When you see the film, and you’ll see the trailer, you will know it was not an easy film because while it has a lot of scale in many parts of the film, there is one chunk of it in which we had to build the entire set of a plane and the action crew was from South Africa and there were multiple cameras and multiple rehearsals. So, there was a lot of prep work done to get it right."

Yodha is directed by debutant duo Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre. Talking about the directors, he added, "Kudos to… they are first-time directors, Sagar and Pushkar, to them, to producer Shashank Khaitan who is producing the film with us, and to Sidharth Malhotra. The work he put in… I think there are really two films which have challenged him physically and emotionally, 'Shershaah' and 'Yodha'. He is delivered in both, and I think all Sidharth Malhotra fans will be very proud of the work he has done in Yodha."

‘Yodha’ also features Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani.
