Sidharth Malhotra Says Wedding With Kiara Advani Was 'Meant To Be' After Audience's Love For Shershaah
Sidharth Malhotra shared that in some way their wedding was 'meant to be' and that their marriage felt like 'the real Vikram and Dimple, in some parallel universe, came together'.
New Delhi: Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra fans can rest now. The newlyweds have finally opened up about their marriage. In a recent interaction with a publication, Sidharth Malhotra shared that in some way their wedding was 'meant to be' and that their marriage felt like 'the real Vikram and Dimple, in some parallel universe, came together'. Kiara Advani also spoke about the post-wedding glow.
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra starrer 'Shershaah' was based on the life of Param Vir Chakra-awardee Vikram Batra. The film also threw some light on his personal life and his relationship with Dimple Cheema. Despite the little time of amount that Dimple and Vikram actually spent with each other, 'Shershaah's was also applauded for the love story angle.
In an interaction with News18, Sidharth told the publication, "It felt like the real Vikram and Dimple, in some parallel universe, came together. Shershaah has given me so much love and my wife too, so what else do you need from a film? (laughs) I think it was meant to be. Much like us, Vishal Batra (Vikram Batra’s win brother) was extremely emotional and happy when he came to our wedding.”
During the same interview, Kiara Advani also said, "The (post-wedding) glow is real. This new life is wonderful. I’m very happy.”
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani have been sharing pictures of their adorable wedding which was nothing short of a dream come true in Jaisalmer. The two were married on February 7 in Jaisalmer's Suryagarh Palace, and hosted a reception in Delhi and later in Mumbai for their industry friends.
Sidharth and Kiara's wedding guest list saw close friends and family including Bollywood celebs like Karan Johar, Mira Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Mukesh Ambani's daughter Isha Ambani, who is a childhood friend of Kiara's. Isha Ambani was also joined by her husband Anand Piramal.
Kiara and Sidharth's Mumbai reception was attended by their industry friends like Akash Ambani, Kareena Kapoor, Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Gauri Khan, Ranveer Singh, Ananya Panday, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Natasha Dalal, Kriti Sanon, Disha Patani, Neha Dhupia, Shilpa Shetty, Maheep Kapoor among, and many other celebrities.
