New Delhi: The much-anticipated sequel ‘Stree 2’, which stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has been embroiled in a ‘copying’ issue. People took to social media when the film's poster dropped to point out how similar it looked to the one for the hit Netflix series ‘Stranger Things 2’. According to fans, the colour palette, layout, and general style of the ‘Stranger Things 2’ poster are quite similar to those of the ‘Stree 2’ poster.

On Tuesday (August 13), a Reddit user brought attention to these similarities in the ‘Stree 2’ poster writing, "Inspired or copied?" Many have voiced their anger at what they see as th creator's lack of originality.

Some viewers have claimed that the movie took "direct inspiration" from the popular series. Blue and orange tones predominate in both posters, while strong red text in the titles. And much as in the ‘Stranger Things 2’ poster, the cast is organised in a pyramid shape, with Rajkummar Rao at the very top and Shraddha Kapoor smack dab in the middle of the bottom row.

Netizens reaction

A user wrote, "Full marks in copying ngl but could have atleast changed colour grading to not make it this obvious," while another one said, "There are so so many colors in the world. At least change the color scheme."

Someone also wrote, “Nothing in Bollywood is original anymore, part of the reason business has gone down the drain!!!”
