Badminton player P.V. Sindhu recently broke records by winning a silver medal in the recently concluded Rio Olympics 2016. While she has been getting a lot of praise for her performance, Malayalam Director Sasidharan gave a shocking statement on her win.

Sasidharan wrote on Facebook in Malayalam, “Everyone is celebrating Sindhu’s achievement now. What if I spit on this? What is there to celebrate much about it?”

His post soon sparked an outrage with people slamming his post. The director then further explained the situation and said that it was 'black humour'. He added that people did not understand and were getting angry over nothing.
