Ahead Of Pathaan Release, Shah Rukh Khan Makes Rare Appearance, Waves To Fans Outside Mannat

Shah Rukh Khan greeted his fans standing outside his Mumbai residence, Mannat.

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan, who will make his theatrical comeback with 'Pathaan' after a four-year hiatus, surprised his fans by greeting them his Mumbai home. On Sunday evening, the actor showed up outside Mannat to meet his fans, as he usually does.

Despite not actively promoting his movie, the actor made a rare appearance for the crowds of devoted fans waiting outside his residence. Before the premiere of 'Pathaan', a massive crowd gathered in front of Shah Rukh Khan's mansion to catch a glimpse of the actor. Without failing his eager supporters, the superstar gave them the warmest welcome possible.

The actor posted a video of the scene outside his house on Instagram, and it pretty much went viral. "Thank you for a lovely Sunday evening… sorry but I hope ki laal gaadi waalon ne apni kursi ki peti baandh li thhi. Book your tickets to #Pathaan and I will see you there next," he wrote in the caption along with the video.

While Shah Rukh Khan was engaging in the #AsKSRK session on Twitter, a fan recently questioned the actor about why he didn't step outside Mannat.

"@iamsrk #AskSRK wait kar raha tha bahar kyu nahi aaye (I was waiting outside, why didn't you come out)?" a fan wrote and tweeted a selfie clicked outside Mannat.

To this, Shah Rukh Khan gave a hilarious reply and said: "Feeling lazy want to chill in the bed yaar."

Recently, activists from the Bajrang Dal protested against the movie 'Pathaan', which has been the subject of controversy since the song 'Besharm Rang' was released. When Hindu outfit activists broke into a theatre at Narengi in Guwahati where the movie was slated to be released, one of these protests turned violent.

When the Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma was asked by media persons about the incident, he responded by asking "who is Shahrukh Khan?" "Who is Shah Rukh Khan? I don't know anything about him or his film Pathaan," he told the media.

Directed by Sidharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj films, 'Pathaan' also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The movie will be shown in theatres on January 25. It will release in three different languages: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
