New Delhi: Zoya Akhtar's film 'The Archies' earned appreciation from actor Shah Rukh Khan and his spouse, interior designer Gauri Khan. The Netflix movie that is based on the Archies comics marks the Bollywood debut of the couple's daughter Suhana Khan.
Shah Rukh shared the trailer for the upcoming movie on Instagram on Thursday. "A contemporary subject with timeless characters #TheArchies… thrown into a world that is very fable-like. Zoya has created such an innocent and pristine quality to the film….maybe just like our world could be with a more responsible outlook towards the environment," he wrote in the caption.
"All the best to the entire team involved with this sweet and meaningful fun film!" the actor added.
Gauri Khan also shared the trailer and wrote, "Such a beautiful world… fun characters with a very touching tale to tell. Thank u Zoya… and all the best to #TheArchies family."
The trailer of 'The Archies' was released by the makers on November 9. The film marks the Bollywood debut of most of its star cast, including Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's daughter Suhana Khan, late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda. 'The Archies' also stars Vedang Raina as Reggie, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Dot as Ethel Muggs and Yuvrah Menda as Dilton Doiley. Netflix will begin streaming the movie on December 7.
