New Delhi: The latest track from the Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani-starrer film 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' was released on Wednesday. The song titled ‘Sun Sajni' is a dance number based on Garba tunes.
'Sun Sajni' is laced with Gujarati elements and will be the first time we see Kartik and Kiara performing garba.
The track is sung by Meet Bros, Parampara Tandon, and Piyush Mehroliyaa. Music is composed by Meet Bros, and the lyrics of the song are given by Kumaar.
Kartik posted the song on his Instagram account and wrote in the caption, “Main toh Naachunga. Aaj se Garba Machega. Celebrate the Biggest Prem Katha Of the Year with #SunSajni”.
Kiara, too posted the song on Instagram and wrote, “Main to naachungi”
For the launch of the song, the makers also arranged for a live dance performance by the dancers. Kartik and Kiara made their way on stage as they joined the dancers.
After the performance, Kartik helped Kiara with her footwear.
Pakistani fans slam Satyaprem Ki Katha makers
Meanwhile, the makers of the film are being criticised for reportedly recreating the popular Pakistani song ‘Pasoori’ for the film. The news about the recreated version of 'Pasoori', which is originally sung by Ali Sethi and Shae Gil, did not go down well with 'Pasoori' fans.
The film revolves around Satyaprem, who is desperate to get married and finds true love in Kiara's character of Katha. The film gets its title from its lead characters and their love story.
Produced by NGE and Namah Pictures, 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' is a musical drama. It has been directed by Sameer Vidwans, and also stars Gajraj Rao and Supriya Pathak.
The film is set to debut in cinemas on June 29.
