New Delhi: Mukesh Khanna once again slammed the makers of 'Adipurush', a film starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. In an exclusive interview with ANI, he severely condemned the dialogues and asked who had given them the right to mock our scriptures. The actor stated that the makers have not even looked into the Hindu mythological epic and went on to say that they must be burned while standing at 50 degrees.

"I think this is a terrible joke with Ramayan. Who has given the right to anyone to insult our scriptures? I have even said that both of them have not even read Ramayan. Those who don't know which blessing Ravan had received. They pasted the blessing of Hiranyakashyap on Ravan," he told ANI.

"While Shiv ji had blessed Ravan, now those who do not have that much knowledge, then you are talking big things. It is absolutely rubbish. They should not be forgiven. Yesterday I said on my channel that this whole team should be burnt standing at fifty degrees Celsius," the actor added.

He kept on criticising them while telling ANI, "I thought that when all this has happened, they will hide their face, but they are coming forward and explaining this much. They are saying that we are making it for Sanatan Dharma. Hey, is your Sanatan Dharma different from ours? They said that there was the version of Valmiki ji, then there was the version of Tulsidas ji, this is our version."

Earlier, Mukesh Khanna called out the most recent movie and how it depicts characters from the Hindu mythological epic Ramayan. The veteran actor took shots at Saif Ali Khan for playing Lankesh.

Mukesh said, “Raavan may be scary, but how can look like Chandrakanta's Shivdutt - vishpurush? He was a pandit. You will be shocked how can someone imagine and design Raavan in this manner. I remember when the film was announced, Saif had said he'l make the character humourous. I had said then as well - ‘Who the hell are you to change characters of our epic, apne dharam me kar ke dikhao. Sir katne lagenge (you will be beheaded)’. The fact is, not much changed in Raavan's look and the makers even tried to make him do comedy.”

Adipurush, a film directed by Om Raut, is a retelling of the Ramayan, an epic from Hindu mythology. Along with Prabhas portraying Raghav, Kriti playing Janaki, Saif playing Lankesh, and Sunny Singh playing Shesh, Devdatta Nage plays Bajrang in the movie. The movie released on June 16.
