New Delhi: A few months back, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was diagnosed with lung cancer and since then, everyone has been wishing for his speedy recovery. The ‘Sadak 2’ actor went through continuous medical treatments and recently, on the occasion of his twin kids’ birthday, Dutt announced on social media that he is cancer-free.

As a moment to celebrate Sanjay Dutt’s victory over this deadly disease, his wife Maanayata Dutt took to her Instagram and hailed his ‘resilience and courage’. She shared a video of the ‘KGF’ actor performing aarti as she penned down a heartfelt note for her husband.

Maanayata’s note read, “Dedicating this Dusshera to someone who has been such an inspiration not only to me, but to so many others. Life has thrown many difficulties at him, but he has always fought back with patience, grace and love. And when we thought we finally had peace, life threw yet another challenge. Today he has once again proven that a positive mind can win and conquer the worst situation with resilience and courage! There is truly no one like you Sanju, you taught me when the going gets tough, only the tough gets going. You are my strength, my pride, My Ram!! #vijayadashami bhava!! After recovering from lung cancer, Sanjay Dutt shared a note with his fans thanking them for their love and support. His note read, “The last few weeks were very difficult time for my family and me. But like they say, God gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. And today, on the occasion of my kid's birthday, I am happy to come out victorious from this battle and be able to give them the best gift I can- the health and well-being of our family.”



Speaking on the work front, Dutt will soon resume the shoot of 'KGF: Chapter 2'. He has an exciting line-up of projects including 'Bhuj: The Pride of India', 'Shamshera', 'Prithviraj' and 'Torbaaz'.
