New Delhi: Apart from the intriguing trailer, Shah Rukh Khan's new movie 'Jawan' caught people's attention for a particular dialogue. When Shah Rukh said, "Bete ko haath lagane se pehle baap se baat kar (Talk to the dad before going after his son)," the internet broke. They made a connection between it and the 2021 drug case in which SRK's son Aryan Khan was involved.

Now, Sameer Wankhede, the police officer who was in charge of the investigation in the infamous case, seems to have reacted to that provocative reference. Wankhede might have spotted something related to him in Shah Rukh Khan new movie's teaser.

One of the first X (previously Twitter) users to draw attention to the parallels to Shah Rukh's real life was the Twitter parody account @RoflGandhi_. Later, using the tag @RoflGandi, Sameer Wankhede tweeted on his X account. While his remarks are rather cryptic, the timing makes it fairly clear that he is trying to send a message to everyone who has linked the 'Jawan' dialogue to the Aryan Khan case.

“I have licked the fire and danced in the ashes of every bridge I ever burned. I fear no hell from you. -Nicole Lyons. A quote that always inspires me !” he wrote.

Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was taken into custody in 2021 for allegedly possessing drugs. Since it was a non-bailable offence, the investigation continued for weeks before Aryan was granted bail. Later, Sameer Wankhede, who was looking into the matter, was charged with asking a bribe from Shah Rukh.

Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Yogi Babu, and Ridhi Dogra are among the other actors who appear in the Atlee-directed film 'Jawan'. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu in cinemas on September 7.
