New Delhi: 'Sam Bahadur' movie trailer has been released. Vicky Kaushal as Sam Manekshaw in action looks and feels like a different era of soldiership altogether. Vicky shared the trailer on his official Instagram handle with the caption, "o the Indian army, to the nation and its people, we present to you a glimpse into the life of India’s Greatest Soldier, Sam Manekshaw. 🫡🇮🇳❤️#SamBahadur Trailer Out Now!#Samबहादुर in cinemas 1.12.2023 #SamIsHere."

Vicky Kaushal looks and plays the celebrated soldier character as the trailer traces Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw's history and life. The trailer also gives a glimpse of Fatima San Shaikh as Indira Gandhi and some tense moments in Indian political history involving The Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

Why the trailer of 'Sam Bahadur' also looks different is because of the tangent of loyalty towards the Indian Army and the honour for the uniform donned by the army.

The 'Sam Bahadur' trailer looks and feels perfectly set in the Indian political history of 70s. And, the loud war-mongering jingoism that is quite common in the patriotic films template is fortunately missing.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also announced the trailer launch on his official social media handle and wrote, "VICKY KAUSHAL: ‘SAM BAHADUR’ TRAILER ARRIVES TODAY… Team #SamBahadur - based on the life of Field Marshal #SamManekshaw - will unveil #SamBahadurTrailer at 5.30 pm TODAY… In *cinemas* 1 Dec 2023.Stars #VickyKaushal, #FatimaSanaShaikh and #SanyaMalhotra... 'Sam Bahadur' has been directed by Meghna Gulzar known for 'Talvar' and 'Raazi'. Meghna Gulzar will also be collaborating with Vicky Kaushal a second time after 'Raazi' in 'Sam Bahadur'.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, 'Sam Bahadur' is slated to be released on December 1, 2023.
