Makers Of Salman Khan's 'Radhe' Take Legal Action Against Piracy, FIR Filed

Salman Khan's Eid 2021 release 'Radhe' has been hit by piracy on WhatsApp and Telegram. The makers of the film filed an FIR after the film was leaked online on several platforms.

Mumbai: The makers of Salman Khan starrer ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ have filed an official complaint with the Cyber Cell after the pirated versions of the film were leaked online. Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. issued a statement on Tuesday to announce that they are taking legal action against the culprits, who are involved in the act of privacy.

Salman Khan’s Eid 2021 release has been badly hit by piracy as pirated versions of the flick are available on platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp.  The officials are tracking down the numbers of the people involved in piracy, the makers said in a statement.

“Piracy being the biggest threat to the entertainment industry, curbs down this source of livelihood. People engaged in spreading the illegal version of the film, are not just embracing piracy, but are also negatively impacting the growth of the industry and the livelihoods of the people working for it round the clock," the makers were quoted as saying by IANS.

Salman Khan had earlier requested his fans to not resort to piracy and watch the film on its official platforms. He warned the people that the Cyber Cell would take stringent action if they are caught watching the movie on a pirated site.

The ‘Bharat’ actor had to urge his followers to shun piracy after his new action drama got leaked within few hours of release.

‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’, which released on May 13, garnered over 4.2 million views across all platforms on its first day. The movie received scathing reviews from the critics and fans on social media.

Movie buffs expressed their displeasure over the film’s plot and screenplay and called them out for repackaging ‘old wine in a new bottle’.  'Radhe' became Salman's lowest-rated film on IMDb with a rating of 1.7.
