Veteran writer Salim Khan was recently in news for being offered a Rajya Sabha seat by BJP. Salim Khan soon took notice of the news and rubbished it. Earlier, there was buzz doing the rounds that Salim Khan along with Mary Kom, Navjot Singh Sidhu and others are being nominated to Rajya Sabha.



Salim Khan who has just opened his Twitter account rubbished the rumours by breaking it on his official account.

Salim Khan said, ''News "Salim Khan snubs BJP by refusing Rajya Sabha" is wrong.'' Clearly it indicates that Salim Khan hasn't declined BJP's offer for Rajya Sabha ticket. The veteran actor further clarified with another Tweet.

He said, ''Never been offered, if offered its a great honor. But will have to think cause of my age.''

 



 

While Navjot Singh Sidhu and Mary Kom are likely to accept, Salim Khan clarified that he was never offered a ticket to Rajya Sabha. The famous writer further wrote that it would have been great had he been given such an honour. Salim ended on a little witty note by saying that even if offered, he would have to think twice because of his age.
