Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Saina’ has been making waves ever since the makers unveiled the film’s trailer. The biographical sports drama, which has been directed by Amole Gupta, released on Friday (March 26). Several Bollywood celebs have praised Parineeti for playing the role of Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal with perfection.


Parineeti’s cousin Priyanka Chopra took to social media to shower the actress with praises for ‘pushing herself as an artist.’ The ‘Quantico’ star sent her best of luck wishes to Parineeti and fondly called her by her nickname ‘Tisha’. She tweeted, “Tisha... so proud of your drive, hard work and for pushing yourself as an artist. Lots of love and luck for Saina.”

Parineeti was quick enough to respond to Priyanka's appreciation post on Twitter. She thanked her cousin and said that she is 'grateful' to receive praises from her.

‘Saina’, which is based on the life of Saina Nehwal, has received mixed responses from the audience and critics. While the movie buffs have complimented Parineeti for her performance, they have pointed out the film couldn't keep them engaged for a long time.

Parineeti Chopra Upcoming Films


Parineeti Chopra is on a roll as her three films have released back-to-back. While ‘The Girl On The Train’ premiered directly on Netflix, ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ hit the silver screens on March 19. ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar also starred Arjun Kapoor in a lead role.


On the professional front, she will be next seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal'. The flick also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. The makers had announced the movie on New Year 2021.
