Shraddha Kapoor had trained hard to perfect the role of India’s badminton champion, Saina Nehwal. However now she has dropped out of the biopic!

The first look of one of the much-awaited biopic on India’s badminton champion Saina Nehwal was unveiled last year. Actress Shraddha Kapoor as Saina had left everyone excited for the film, courtesy, her uncanny resemblance with the ace shuttler. In-fact the actress had been training hard with Badminton coaches to perfect her moves as a badminton player.

But the latest update is that Shraddha has walked out of the biopic, according to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, Shraddha has backed out from the film due to her tight schedule. This year, the Stree actress is doing back to back films. At present, she is busy shooting for Chhichorre and then will be shooting for Street Dancer 3D post which her much awaited Saaho will be releasing. Saina Nehwal is considered as one of the most successful Indian sports persons Hence she wasn't able to commit on the dates to Saina Nehwal biopic. Parineeti Chopra plays Akshay Kumar’s dead wife in ‘Kesari’ Meanwhile, actress Parineeti Chopra who had earlier shown a keen interest in the film has been roped in to play Saina Nehwal and is all set to fill in Shraddha's shoes.

Bhushan Kumar, one of the producers of the Saina biopic confirmed the news and said, “We want to wrap up Saina by this year-end for an early 2020 release, so going ahead with the project is a decision taken by mutual consent. We are glad Parineeti has come on board for the film. Saina has made every Indian proud and we can’t wait to take her story to the world in the year of the Olympics.” Now, Parineeti Chopra who is gearing up for the release of Kesari opposite Akshay Kumar will be seen training for the role.
