Farid Sabri, the famous 'Sabri Brothers' fame in the country and abroad, died today in Rajasthan. He was admitted to the Vedanta Super Specialty Hospital in Ajmer on Tuesday night due to sudden illness, where he breathed his last at 8.00 am today. He was 58 years old. 


Renowned qawwali singer Farid Sabri, of ‘Sabri Brothers’ fame, passed away in Rajasthan on Wednesday (April 21). He was 58. The prominent singer was admitted to Vedanta Super Specialty Hospital in Ajmer on Tuesday after his health deteriorated. Farid took his last breathe at around 8am at the hospital.

Sabri Baders’ Amin Sabri, while exclusively talking to ABP News over phone, said, "Farid Sabri was unwell since the past 4-5 days and was also suffering from pneumonia. His health worsened last night." She died. He due to lung infection and pneumonia." 


Amin Sabri said that his brother didn’t test positive for COVID-19. Farid Sabri was cremated at Miskin Shah cemetery at Ghat Gate according to the customs. 


Farid Sabri and Amin Sabri, who hailed from Jaipur’s Ramganj, gained prominence as ‘Sabri Brothers’. The brothers and their father Saeed Sabri performed qawwali at several events held in Indian and abroad.  Farid also crooned some popular songs in Bollywood films.

Farid Sabri and his father Saeed Sabri sang the song 'Der Na Ho Jaye Kahin Der Na Hojaye' with Lata Mangeshkar for the hit film 'Hina'. Farid and his brother Amin also lent their voice to Sirf Tum’s ‘Ek Mulakat Zaruri Hai Sanam’. The brothers also crooned qawwalis in several films like 'Pardes' and 'Yeh Dil Aashiqanna'.
