Mumbai: SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’, which stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles, is all set to release in multiple foreign languages. Streaming giant Netflix has bagged the digital rights for the much-awaited film. The epic drama will be available for viewing in various languages including English, Portuguese, Turkish, Spanish and Korean on the leading OTT platform.
Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the news with the fans. He revealed that ZEE5 has secured the digital rights for ‘RRR’ for Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The highly-anticipated flick will be available for streaming in Hindi on Netflix.
“Besides releasing in #Hindi, #Telugu, #Tamil, #Malayalam and #Kannada, #RRR will also release in various foreign languages: #English, #Portuguese, #Korean, #Turkish and #Spanish... The digital streaming rights are with Netflix... OFFICIAL POSTER,” Adarsh wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Zee Cinema will air the world television premiere of ‘RRR’ after its release in the cinema halls. Star Network’s regional channels have bagged the satellite rights for the film in their respective markets.
Ram Charan is essaying the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju while Jr. NTR is playing the character of Komaram Bheem. The first look posters of the two South stars have created a lot of buzz on social media.
Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn will make their debut in South cinema with ‘RRR’. While Bhatt is playing the role of Sita, the makers have managed to keep the details about her Devgn’s character under wraps.
‘RRR’, which also stars Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody, is slated to hit the silver screens on October 13, 2021. It will release in several languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
Last week, the makers released a new poster of Jr. NTR’s character on his birthday. His intense look grabbed several eyeballs and created anticipation among the movie buffs for the film.
