PICS: Abhishek Bachchan Consoles Niece Navya As She Gets Emotional During Grandmother Ritu Nanda's Funeral
Abhishek Bachchan comforted his niece Navya as she paid her last respect to her grandmother Ritu Nanda.
New Delhi: Late actor Raj Kapoor’s elder daughter and Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s mother-in-law Ritu Nanda passed away on Tuesday (January 14) morning in Delhi. She was 71. Several Bollywood celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar, Rishi Kapoor paid their last respect to Ritu at her residence in Delhi.
Ritu Nanda’s last rites took place at Lodhi Road crematorium. Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Nikhil Nanda’s daughter Navya Naveli Nanda got emotional during her grandmother’s funeral. Her maternal uncle Abhishek Bachchan consoled Navya while she was crying. The star kid was spotted with her hands folded in a Namaskar while the last rites were being held. Navya's brother Agastya was also seen at the funeral.

Amitabh Bachchan shared the news of Ritu Nanda’s death on his official blog. He wrote, “My ‘samdhan’ Ritu Nanda, Shweta’s Mother in Law passed away suddenly at 1.15 Am .. cannot communicate .. travelling.” Neetu Kapoor shared a heartfelt post for her sister-in-law on Instagram.
