Kangana Ranaut Attacks Taapsee Pannu Again, Says 'One Should Stand Up For One’s Motherland'

Taapsee Pannu expressed her opinion on the hullabaloo surrounding Rihanna's tweet without taking names. Kangana Ranaut expressed her displeasure over Taapsee's tweet and lashed out at the 'Pink' star on Twitter.

International pop star Rihanna has been trending on social media ever since she posted a tweet on the farmers’ protest in India. The ‘We Found Love’ singer became the first global celebrity to voice their support in favour of the farmers, who have been protesting against the farm laws. The likes of Greta Thunberg, US Vice President Kamala Harris’ niece Meena Harris and Amanda Cerny have also extended support to the agitating farmers on different social media platforms.

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, who was last seen in ‘Thappad’, also expressed her thoughts on the matter on Twitter. Without mentioning any names, the ‘Pink’ star tweeted, “If one tweet rattles your unity, one joke rattles your faith or one show rattles your religious belief then it’s you who has to work on strengthening your value system not become ‘propaganda teacher’ for others.”

Kangana Ranaut, who has been vocal about the farmers’ protest, slammed Taapsee on the micro-blogging site. She responded to Pannu’s tweet and took a dig at the ‘Mission Mangal’ actress, calling her a ‘free loader’.

“B grade logon ki B grade thinking, one should stand up for one’s faith motherland and family, yehi Karm hai yehi Dharm bhi hai .... free fund ka sirf khane wale mat bano... iss desh ka bojh... that’s why I call them B grade ... ignore them free loaders,” Ranaut wrote.

The ‘Queen’ actress, while reacting to a tweet, took another dig at Taapsee. She tweeted, “Yeh her only achievement is it be a sasti copy, since she styled herself like me people started noticing her.” Kangana said that ‘people started noticing Taapsee after she styled herself’ like the Fashion star.

Several tinsel town celebs including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar asked their followers to not ‘fall for any false propaganda’ against Indian policies. The Ministry of External Affairs had issued a statement to slam the international celebs who commented on the ongoing farmers’ protest in the country.

“The temptation of sensationalist social media hashtags and comments, especially when resorted to by celebrities and others, is neither accurate nor responsible,” the official statement read.
