His comments came in response to 'Jalebi' actress's statement made earlier today when she questioned "illegal investigation of Bihar Police" and said she has no problem if the top court transfers the death case to CBI.

Actress's lawyer in an elaborate statement said that Rhea was apprehensive about the nature of the investigation that would be conducted by the Bihar Police for several reasons. the lawyer alleged that Bihar Police was acting only at the behest of the political leadership in Bihar.

Terming Bihar police’s investigation as illegal, the lawyer said that Rhea has no problem if SC transfers it to CBI. The lawyer has said that unless the Maharashtra Govt Consents to a CBI investigation, the case cannot be transferred to CBI.

Responding to these comments, Sushant's family lawyer Vikas said Rhea, who is the prime accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case facing allegations of money laundering and abetment to suicide, is trying to manipulate the court and the presiding judge in the case. However, Singh showed confidence with the judiciary and said that the judges of the Supreme Court are conscious and aware of how things work, hence Rhea's attempt to manipulate them won't fly.

Rhea Chakraborty filed a petition in SC after Sushant’s father lodged an FIR against her at Patna’s Rajiv Nagar Police station last month. The ‘Jalebi’ actress moved the top court and filed a plea seeking the transfer of the case from Patna to Mumbai.

She challenged the jurisdiction of the Bihar Police in the matter in her written submission and told SC that the Patna FIR could at best be regarded as a zero FIR. She also insisted that the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor’s father has made baseless allegations against her.
