New Delhi: Bollywood choreographer and director Remo D'Souza was hospitalized after he suffered a heart attack on December 11. The 'Race 3' director, who has been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Mumbai, suffered a heart attack on Friday afternoon. Director Ahmed Khan confirmed the development while talking to ABP News.

Remo D'Souza is currently admitted to the ICU. Remo underwent an angiography after suffering a heart attack.

Kokilaben hospital issued a statement to give an update about Remo D'Souza's health. The director's condition is stable and is under observation, the statement said.

"Mr Remo D'souza veteran choreographer has been admitted at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. He is being treated by a team of the doctors and is under observation. His condition is stable," Dr Santosh Shetty CEO and Executive Director said in a statement.

His wife Lizelle is present with the 'ABCD' director at the hospital. Lizelle had shared a photo with her husband 14 hours ago on her Instagram story.

On the professional front, Remo D'Souza last directed the dance film 'Street Dancer 3D'. The movie, which starred Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles, released earlier this year. The flick received a mixed response from the fans and critics.

Remo has directed films like 'Race 3', 'A Flying Jatt', 'ABCD 2', to name a few. He received the award for 'Best Choreography' for Bajirao Mastani's 'Deewani Mastani' at 63rd National Film Awards.

The 46-year-old has judged several dance reality shows on the small screen including 'Dance India Dance', 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and 'Dance Plus'.
