Mumbai: Actress Shikha Malhotra, who starred opposite Sanjay Mishra in the film 'Kaanchli Life in a Slough' last year, has been admitted to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai after she got a major stroke and suffered from paralysis. The actress has also starred in Shah Rukh Khan’s movie ‘Fan’ and have also shared the screen space with Taapsee Pannu in ‘Running Shaadi.Com’.

Shikha Malhotra is also a certified nurse and during the time of the pandemic, she served as a frontline warrior. She served the patients of ‘Hindu Hruday Samrat Trauma Center’ in Jogeshwari, Mumbai. She served the patients there as a nurse for about 6 months.

While Shikha Malhotra was working as a frontline warrior serving the patients of COVID-19 in this pandemic, she herself became a victim of the virus in October and after recovering, she was discharged from the hospital on October 22.

Shikha’s PR manager Ashwani Shukla told ABP News that the actress was first admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai after suffering paralysis in her home last night. Shukla further told that due to expensive treatment in the hospital, she was later shifted to Cooper Hospital in Vile Parle in Mumbai.

Ashwani Shukla said that Shikha's right body has been badly affected due to paralysis and that she is neither in the condition of moving nor speaking. The actress’ manager further informed that the doctors are saying that Shikha's condition much better than earlier.
