New Delhi: After suffering a cardio-respiratory arrest on Friday (September 25), veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam breathed his last at 1:04 pm in MGM Healthcare in Chennai. Born on June 4, 1946, in Nellore, the singer recorded 40,000 songs in 16 languages and held the Guinness World Record for recording the highest number of songs. The veteran singer was also a recipient of civilian awards such as ‘Padma Shri’ and ‘Padma Bhushan’ from the Government of India.
