New Delhi: June 27 marks the birth anniversary of musical maestro Rahul Dev Burman, who was fondly known as Pancham Da among his fans. Born to a renowned music director Sachin Dev Burman, people held high exceptions from Rahul which he stood upon when he entered the music industry in 1950s.

From romantic songs to the foot-tapping ones, Pancham Da produced a number of beautiful melodies to the Bollywood cinema. RD Burman's music has always been considered to have a depth that cannot be expressed in words. His songs have their chords stuck in our heads even today and we bet, they will continue to rule our hearts in the generations to come.

Marking the 81st birth anniversary, lets tune into some beautiful compositions by Pancham Da which are still popular among all of us: 

Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein: The playback song from the movie Ajnabee features late actor actor Rajesh Khanna, and the veteran Zeenat Aman. The music was directed by R.D Burman while the song is sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.



O Mere Dil Ke Chain: From the 1972 film Mere Jeevan Saathi, this song features Rajesh Khanna, Tanuja. It was sung by Kishore Kumar while the music was led by Rahul Dev Burman.



Roop Tera Mastana: Featuring Rajesh Khanna besides Sharmila Tagore in the movie Aradhana, this romantic song is a all time hit.



Duniya Mein Logon Ko: Duniya Mein Logon Ko is another classic song from Pancham Da's collections. Sung by Asha Bhosle and RD Burban, the song features Rajesh Khanna, Mumtaz, J. Om Prakash, Pandari Bai, Kanhaiyalal, Madan Puri, Jagdeep.



Bachke Rehna Re Baba: This song from the 1983 movie Pukar features Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, Randhir Kapoor in lead roles. The song is sung by R.D. Burman, Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar and music is given by R.D. Burman.
