New Delhi: Versatile actress Taapsee Pannu, who is currently basking in the decent success of her latest release 'Thappad' directed by Anubhav Sinha, has various interesting projects in her kitty at the moment. On of them is RSVP's 'Rashmi Rocket. In the much-awaited film, Taapsee Pannu will be seen playing a young girl from a village. 'Rashmi Rocket' will be directed by Akarsh Khurana and the makers have now announced the name of Taapsee's male lead from the film.

Actor Priyanshu Painyuli, who was seen in Harshvardhan Kapoor's 'Bhavesh Joshi', has been roped in to star opposite Taapsee Pannu in 'Rashmi Rocket'.

It might be the start of a golden phase for Priyanshu, who will soon be seen in Chris Hemsworth starrer 'Extraction' which drops online in April and also features Randeep Hooda.

Speaking about the same, Priyanshu said in a statement that, "This is looking like a great year already and hopefully the start of a great decade too. In Rashmi Rocket, I will be playing the role of an army officer in the film. It’s a matter of great pride for me. Since I come from the defence background, playing a man in uniform is both an honor and responsibility."

He further added that, "It’s extremely exciting especially after my last film Upstarts, whose universe is so far removed from the world this film is set in. The film will kickstart next month and we will shoot across Delhi, Kutch, Dehradun, and Mussoorie. It’s a fictional film but it is inspired by real events."

'Rashmi Rocket' is a fictional story of a woman hailing from Kutch, who aspires to become a sprinter. Taapsee's first look from the film has already generated curiosity among fans  and are excited to know about what’s in store for them!
