New Delhi: Preparations for Nitesh Tiwari's ‘Ramayana’, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, are apparently in the way. An India Today report claims that in order for Ranbir to sound "different" in the role of Lord Ram in the movie, he will have to go through a rigorous vocal training program. In addition, Sai Pallavi and Yash play Ravan and Sita, respectively, in the movie.

Ranbir Kapoor diction training for Ramayana

The director of ‘Dangal’ is reportedly doing a ton of homework and is not skipping any steps. It stated that he has established a distinct department dedicated to speech and diction, which will collaborate closely with the actors. The report claims that Ranbir has already been assigned to a diction specialist who will make sure that his delivery of the line is consistent with the director's intentions. They assert that there's also a distinct focus on costumes.

“Ranbir has a certain baritone and a way of speaking his lines. It is symbolic and if you have even closed your eyes, you can recognise a dialogue purely based on Ranbir’s voice. In Ramayana, Nitesh wants to make sure he sounds different from the characters he’s played in the past. Being a versatile actor, he is enjoying this process of trying something new.” The report quoted a source close to the development.

Nitesh's film will be the third recent Ramayan-based movie, following Om Raut's Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan-starrer 'Adipurush' and Prasanth Varma's more modern Teja Sajja, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer, and Vinay Rai-starrer 'HanuMan'. Although the film's crew has not yet released an official statement, there has been a lot of excitement surrounding the movie for some time.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor was most recently seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ which collected more than Rs. 900 cr at the box office globally. It also starred Rashmika Mandanna.
