New Delhi: SS Rajamouli's magnum opus movie 'RRR', which won the Golden Globe, also took home the Critics' Choice Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

"Congratulations to the cast and crew of @RRRMovie - winners of the #criticschoice Award for Best Foreign Language Film. #CriticsChoiceAwards," read a tweet shared by the Critics' Choice Awards handle.

At the ceremony, the filmmaker was spotted posing with the award as well. In a video shared on social media, Rajamouli was captured on camera smiling with the award for photographers. He can be seen in the video sporting a red and grey muffler and khakee coloured pants with a brown kurta.

"The handle Cheers on a well deserved win @RRRMovie," the caption read.

'RRR' was up against movies including 'All Quiet on the Western Front', 'Argentina 1985', 'Bardo', 'False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths', 'Close', and 'Decision to Leave'.

Recently, Rajamouli separated "RRR" from Bollywood while discussing the use of music in his big undertaking. Rajamouli was addressing a group of media after his film had just screened at the Directors Guild of America.

"RRR is not a Bollywood film, it is a Telugu film from the south of India where I come from, but I use the song to move the story forward rather than stopping the film and giving you a piece of music and dance. I just use those elements to move the story forward," he stated.

NTR Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Shriya Saran star in 'RRR', which is based on the fictional story of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two real-life Indian rebels who fought the British Raj.
