Mumbai: The Crime Branch Cell of Mumbai Police recorded Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s statement in connection with an alleged pornography case in which her husband Raj Kundra has been arrested. ABP News had earlier informed you that the police officials might question her as part of their investigation in the adult films racket case. 


The Mumbai Police arrived at Shilpa-Raj's bungalow on Friday (July 23) evening to record her statement. According to sources, police officers will be investigating Shilpa Shetty's bank details to find out if any transaction was conducted using her account.

Raj Kundra's Police Custody Extended


The police custody of Raj Kundra, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in production and circulation of pornographic content, was extended till July 27. A magistrate court had earlier sent him to a police custody till July 23.  


Earlier in the day, the Mumbai Police produced Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe before a Magistrate Court in Mumbai, seeking seven more days of further police custody. The officials suspect that the money earned from adult films was used for online betting, Mumbai Police told the court. The officials also said that transactions between Kundra's Yes bank account and United Bank of Africa account need to be probed.


Raj Kundra Files Petion In Bombay HC





The 45-year-old businessman has filed a petition in Bombay High Court on Friday, challenging his arrest in a case related to production of adult films. In his petition, Kundra termed his arrest as 'illegal'. 

 

According to Mumbai Police, their officers have found out that Kundra mentioned a deal about selling 121 videos for $1.2 million in the WhatsApp chats.

 


HotShots Had Around 2 Million Subscribers





According to ANI, several new revelations have come to the fore during the investigation. HotShots, which is at the centre of the alleged adult films racket case, had around 20 lakh subsrcibers. Google and Apple took down the mobile application from their respective platforms as it violated the policy.


Shilpa Shetty Requests Fans To Watch Hungama 2


The 'Dhadkan' star, who made her comeback to films with 'Hungama 2', urged the fans to watch her new release on Disney+Hotstar. She penned a note on social media, requesting the fans to 'not let the film suffer' due to her husband's arrest.
