Raj Kundra Pornography Case Highlights: Shilpa Shetty filed a defamation suit against media outlets, accusing them of 'maligning her image'.
In her plea, Shilpa mentioned that the defendants be ordered to pay to her an amount of Rs 20 crore together with an interest at 18 per cent per annum from the date of filing the defamation suit until payment, a report in ANI said.
Shilpa Shetty urged the court to pass appropriate directions, which require social media platforms like Facebook to remove or delete the defamatory articles or videos against her, according to a report in ANI. The actress had earlier recorded her statement with the Mumbai Police Crime Branch in connection with the alleged pornography case.
Shilpa Shetty on Thursday (July 29) moved the Bombay High Court, seeking injuction against the publication of defamatory content on different websites and social media in connection with the arrest of her husband Raj Kundra in alleged pornography case, a report in Bar and Bench said.

A Magistrate Court had rejected Raj’s bail plea on Wednesday (July 28) on the grounds that he might tamper the evidence and influence the victims in the case.
In his petition filed in the court, Raj stated that he has been wrongly arrested in the case. The police officials have maintained that Kundra refused to sign Section 41 (A) of CrPC. Kundra’s lawyer contended that he was arrested as he didn’t give the notice; however, the police arrested Ryan Thorpe, who served the notice.
