New Delhi: Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has recently tested positive for COVID-19. The actress has appeared in the Bollywood film ‘Raees’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Mahira started her movie career with a supporting role 2011 movie ‘Bol’ which starred singer Atif Aslam in the lead role.

Mahira Khan recently took to her Instagram and shared the news of her testing positive for COVID-19. She shared a note and wrote, “I have tested positive for COVID-19. I'm isolating and have also informed all those who were in close contact with me over the last few days. It's been rough but it will be ok soon, InshAllah. Please please wear a mask and follow all other sops ' for your sake and others. Love, Mahira Khan PS Prayers and movie recommendations are more than welcome.”



Mahira is famous for portraying the role of Khirad Ehsan in the Pakistani drama television series ‘Humsafar’. She starred in other television series like ‘Neeyat’, ‘Shehr-e-Zaat’, ‘Bin Roye’ and others.


The actress is one of Pakistan’s highest-paid actresses and has received several awards and accolades during her career. She was also named as the ‘Most Beautiful Woman’ in Pakistan in the year 2012.


Mahira Khan married Ali Aksari in the year 2007. The couple has a son named Azlan who was born in the year 2009. Mahira and Ali, however, parted ways and got divorced in the year 2015.


Before appearing in ‘Bol’, the actress made her showbiz debut with MTV Pakistan’s show ‘Most Wanted’. Mahira hosted the show. She is also the first Pakistani actress who debuted and walked the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival.
