New Delhi: As the Rehna hai tere dil mein star, R Madhavan, turned 50 on Monday, celebrities took to social media to wish him.

Madhavan, who has aged like fine wine over the years and continues to make women swoon all over him, came to fame with Mani Ratnam’s Alaipayuthey in 2000.


A leading actor of the Tamil and Hindi film industries, Madhavan will be next seen in Nishabdham, starring Anushka Shetty. Directed by Hemant Madhukar, the thriller is produced by Kona Venkat and TG Vishwaprasad. He has also worked in the upcoming biographical drama, Rocketry: The Namby Effect. The film is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
