New Delhi: Even after two weekends, Allu Arjun's ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ has maintained its dominance at the box office with amazing receipts. Regardless of the drama surrounding the actor's arrest, the film's box office performance saw a notable uptick on Saturday, Day 10. Sukumar’s film is getting closer to the Rs 1000 crore mark, having grossed Rs 825 crore in India alone as of Saturday night.
Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection Day 10
Revenue for ‘Pushpa 2’ increased by 71% from Friday to Saturday, according to Sacnilk.com. The Hindi version of the film was the most profitable, contributing Rs 62.3 crore. While the Telugu version made Rs 13 crore, the Hindi version made Rs 46 crore at the box office.
The film achieved Rs 195 crore gross from outside markets, bringing its total profits to Rs 1106 crore, making it the sixth Indian film to achieve this feat.
According to reports, ‘Pushpa 2’ will soon earn more than Jawan (Rs 1148 crore) and KGF Chapter 2 (Rs 1208 crore), two of the highest-grossing Indian films, thanks to its incredible success. Given that no big new releases are competing with the film in India, industry analysts are predicting a record-breaking second weekend for the film.
Nevertheless, the film's international profits have started to decline, with daily earnings falling below $1 million after Day 5. This drop could impact Pushpa 2's prospects of overtaking Dangal and Baahubali 2, the two highest-grossing films of all time, which have both amassed over Rs 1500 million globally.
About 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, directed by Sukumar, is the much-anticipated follow-up to the smash hit ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which came out in 2021. Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil reprise their roles from the last film, while Allu Arjun reprises his role as the infamous criminal Pushpa Raj. Following the worldwide success of Pushpa, which earned over Rs 340 crore, Allu Arjun's position as a pan-Indian celebrity is further solidified by the success of ‘Pushpa 2’.
Remarkably, the film's box office success has been undisturbed by the continuing legal troubles involving Allu Arjun's role in a stampede at the Hyderabad premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’. The incident resulted in the actor's arrest in relation to the death of a fan.
