New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra’s brother Siddharth Chopra was all set to get married to Ishita Kumar in the last week of April. However, their wedding got cancelled few days before the scheduled date. Priyanka & Siddharth’s mother Madhu Chopra had said that the marriage was mutually called off. She didn’t reveal the reason why the decision was taken. Priyanka, who had returned to India to attend the wedding, has jetted back to the USA.
Madhu Chopra chose to stay tight-lipped, giving fodder to the gossip mongers. Now, PeeCee’s mom has finally revealed the reason why the marriage was called off mere days before the scheduled the report.
Madhu, while talking to an entertainment portal, said that Siddharth was not ready for marriage yet.
"My son Siddharth said he was not ready for marriage yet. He explained he needed more time," Priyanka’s mumma told SpotboyE.
"This arranged marriage was being pushed a bit in haste," a source told the portal.
Ishita and Siddharth had their traditional roka ceremony on February 27 in Delhi. Priyanka shared pictures from the function and welcomed Ishita into the family.

Before her wedding, Ishita’s friends hosted a bridal shower for her in London. Ishita had shared the pictures on her Instagram account.

She recently underwent a surgery and updated her well wishers by sharing photos from the hospital. Ishita has deleted all the photos from her roka ceremony from Instagram.
