Mumbai: Global icon Priyanka Chopra took to social media to share an unseen throwback photo with her father Ashok Chopra on his eighth death anniversary on Thursday (June 10). The ‘Quantico’ star posted a snap from her memoir ‘Unfinished’ and revealed the backstory behind it.
PeeCee revealed that she performed a nursery rhyme on stage at an Army club during New Year's eve after her father 'coaxed her into a duet'. It won't be wrong to say that the former Miss World had no stage fear since an early age.

“From my earlier years, my dad and I had an understanding. Whenever he was performing at the army club, he would look me in the eye during the first song. The New Year's Eve I was five he forgot, so I started to leave in a huff. Dad jumped off the stage and pulled me up onto it with him, coaxing me into a duet- a nursery rhyme and winning my forgiveness,” a piece in her memoir read.
The 'Bajirao Mastani' actress captioned her post as "It never gets easier… love you, dad."
Several celebs including Harshdeep Kaur, Srishti Behl Arya and Laura Brown dropped comments on the post. Nick Jonas’ father posted a cute comment that read, “Love this picture and love you.”
Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra shared a photo of Ashok Chopra on Twitter along with the caption, “Forever and always loved!”
Ashok Chopra, who was a physician in the Army, passed away in 2013 due to cancer. Priyanka has a tattoo on her wrist that she got in honour of her daddy.
On the professional front, Priyanka was last seen in 'The White Tiger', which received rave reviews from the critics. Piggy Chops also 'Text For You’, ‘Matrix 4' and 'Citadel' in her kitty.
