Tollywood superstar Prabhas is all set to team up with ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ director Om Raut for the magnum opus ‘Adipurush’. The upcoming film has been making waves ever since the project was announced. The makers had earlier promised to provide an update about ‘Adipurush’. While fans expected them to announce the leading daily, the producers revealed that the motion capture of the much-awaited flick has commenced from Tuesday (January 19)
Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media to inform that the Mahurat would take place on February 2. He tweeted, “PRABHAS: #ADIPURUSH STARTS, MAHURAT ON 2 FEB 2021... #Adipurush [3D] commenced with motion capture - the technology commonly used in international cinema.”
Bhushan Kumar, the producer of the film, has promised to treat the audience with the latest technology which used in international cinema. Talking about the same, he said in a statement, "At T- Series, we have always encouraged new ideas and concepts & this coupled with cutting edge technology, paves the way for the future of filmmaking. Om and his team are creating an entire world of Adipurush with the latest technology, commonly used in international cinema but will be explored in Indian filmmaking for the first time. We are proud to bring to our audiences - Adipurush."
Prabhas, who became a household name after playing the lead in SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, will be seen as Lord Rama in ‘Adipurush’. Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan will essay the role of the antagonist Lankesh in the upcoming movie.
Gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that Kriti Sanon would play the role of the lead actress in ‘Adipurush’. The name of Keerthy Suresh is also floating on the internet. The makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the same.
‘Adipurush’ is slated to hit the silver screens on August 11, 2022.
