Mumbai: Ever since the announcement of Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas coming together for Nag Ashwin’s next sci-fi movie broke out, fans have been eagerly waiting for the untitled movie to go on floors. Well, the wait is finally over as the filming for the movie begins today on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. The movie has been tentatively titled ‘K’.


Prabhas shared the update of the film going on floors on his social media with a picture of the clapboard as the ‘Baahubali’ actor sounded the first clap for the megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Elated to get this opportunity, Prabhas shared on his Instagram and wrote, “On this #GuruPurnima, it is an honour for me to Clap for the Guru of Indian cinema!… it now begins!! #ProjectK”.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the first shooting schedule of the film will reportedly include some crucial scenes and sequences with Amitabh and few other actors. The shooting for this has already started today in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Prabhas will join the team later.


This upcoming sci-fi movie will also feature Deepika Padukone in a lead role. The movie has been produced by Aswini Dutt, producer and founder of Vyjayanthi Movies. Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt, of Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, are the co-producers.


On a related note, a few days back, when the first part of ‘Baahubali’ completed 6 years of its release, Prabhas shared a post giving a shoutout to the entire team of S.S. Rajamouli’s movie which raised the standard of Indian cinema. He wrote while sharing, “#6YearsOfBaahubali: Here's to the team that created waves of cinematic magic all across the country and the world”.



Meanwhile, other than ‘K’, Prabhas will also be seen featuring in Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’, ‘Salaar’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’.
