New Delhi: Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, and Siddhant Chaturvedi's "Phone Bhoot" competed for viewers' attention at the box office on November 4 with the survival thriller "Mili," starring Janhvi Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal and Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi's 'Double XL'.
The film, which also stars Jackie Shroff, had a disappointing start and it made just Rs 2.05 crores on its first day, a startling sum for a Katrina Kaif- starrer.
Sharing the first-day business collection of the movie on Twitter, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated that the Box Office picked up around the evening. He tweeted, "PhoneBhoot records low numbers on Day 1... Biz did pick up towards evening shows, but not enough to record a healthy total... All eyes are on Day 2 and 3... Fri? 2.05 cr. India biz."
Written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath, the film depicts Katrina as a beautiful ghost who brings up a business idea to two clueless guys (Ishaan and Siddhant) as they want to be 'Bhootbusters' (ghostbusters). The two leading lads, however, are unaware that Ragini is assisting them in order for her to ultimately accomplish her own objective, and they inadvertently become involved in the schemes of the malevolent godman Aatmaram.
The complete movie was supposedly leaked online in HD by Tamilrockers yesterday, according to news reports. The movie was available in Telegram and a number of other torrent websites too.
Along with Phone Bhoot, Katrina's forthcoming projects include the action movie 'Tiger 3' with Salman Khan and 'Merry Christmas' with Vijay Sethupathi. Alongside Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra, she will also star in 'Jee Le Zaraa', while Ishaan Khatter will all appear in the upcoming period war movie 'Pippa' along with Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli.
