New Delhi: South Indian movie superstar Pawan Kalyan has made a great comeback on the big screens with the Telugu legal drama ‘Vakeel Saab’. This movie is the remake of the 2016 Hindi movie which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Andrea Tariang and Kriti Kulhari in the lead roles.


‘Vakeel Saab’ released in theatres on April 9, 2021, and has done a great business on the first day. ‘Vakeel Saab’ earned Rs 40 crore on the first day reportedly. The movie portrays how three girls get caught in a crime and how a lawyer suffering from bipolar disorder helps them.

Other than Pawan Kalyan, ‘Vakeel Saab’ also stars Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, Ananya Nagalla. Prakash Raj is also seen portraying a pivotal role in this legal drama. Shruti Haasan has been seen in a cameo role in the movie.


‘Vakeel Saab’ has been released on over 2000 screens all over the world where the maximum number of screens are in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In Karnataka, the film has been released on more than 300 screens.


The shooting of ‘Vakeel Saab’ started last year in the month of January, but soon after the filming had to be put on hold due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. After being halted for 6 months, the shooting of ‘Vakeel Saab’ resumed again in the month of September 2020.


Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan will be next seen starring in the untitled remake of the Malayalam film ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ and ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’.
