New Delhi: 'Pathaan' starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham continues to rule the box office. The Siddharth Anand directorial is having a dream run at the box office ever since it released on January 25, 2023. The action-thriller has already crossed Rs. 700 crores mark at the worldwide box office( gross). On the domestic front, 'Pathaan' is racing towards Rs. 400 crores and over this weekend will also achieve that coveted number.


As per BoxOfficeIndia, 'Pathaan' has collected Rs. 13 crores on its second Friday, now taking the total tally to Rs. 375 crores. The SRK film needs only Rs. 12-13 cr more to be able to overtake Aamir Khan's 'Dangal', the highest Bollywood grossing film of all time. 'Dangal's lifetime collections in the domestic market stand at Rs. 387. 38 crores while the Hindi versions of 'Baahubali 2' and 'KGF 2' both collected more than Rs. 400 crores. 


 




As per reports, 'Pathaan' is expected to overtake both 'KGF 2' and 'Baahubali 2' eventually. SRK's return to the silver screens after ages has proved to be a boon for the Hindi film industry. 'Pathaan's performance is set to instill hope among filmmakers and artists.


'Pathaan' is also expected to give a good run until next week when Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon starrer 'Shehzada' releases. On Friday, Alaya F, Karan Mehta starrer 'Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat' released. Though the Anurag Kashyap film is a small film and will have some takers, analysts do not expect a major hiccup in Pathaan's collections due to the former film.


SRK expressed his gratitude towards the audience for showing such love towards 'Pathaam'. “I just want to say there’s so much love from all sides and we can never show enough gratitude. We thank you on behalf of the film industry for bringing life back to cinemas," King Khan said at a conference post the film's release.
