'Pagalpanti' Box Office Day 2: 'Frozen 2' Beats John Abraham's Film On Saturday!

Here's how much John Abraham & Anil Kapoor's multi-starrer film 'Pagalpanti' has minted on second day.

Anees Bazmee's much-awaited film 'Pagalpanti', featuring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz among others in lead roles, was the biggest release this week along with Hollywood film 'Frozen 2'. However, the multi-starrer Bollywood film received negative reviews from critics and collected below expectation on first day. On Friday, the film opened to a slow start and earned Rs. 5 crore. The film was expected to do much better on second day. However, 'Pagalpanti' has failed to witness a huge jump in collection on Saturday as well. After the success of 'Welcome Back', Anil Kapoor & John Abraham reunited in 'Pagalpanti' after a long time and fans were expecting a lot from the film. However, John-Anil's jodi has failed to create magic this time. The film has minted only Rs. 6.25 crore on Saturday as per reports in Box office India.com thereby taking the grand total to Rs. 11.25 crore. Now, it'll be interesting to see if the collections of 'Pagalpanti' will escalate on Sunday or not. Meanwhile, the comedy has been directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. The flick also stars Pulkit Samrat, Urvashi Rautela, Kriti Kharbanda and Saurabh Shukla. On the other hand, Disney's animated venture 'Frozen 2' is giving a stiff competition to 'Pagalpanti' at the domestic box-office. After a decent start on Friday with collections of Rs 3.50 crore, 'Frozen 2' witnessed a good jump on second day and collected Rs. 6.75 crore on Saturday thereby taking the grand total to Rs. 10 crore. Since the target audience of the film is children, 'Frozen 2' is likely to do much better on Sunday. Keep watching this space for more updates!
