New Delhi: Each Oscar 2023 nominee receives a goodie bag whether they take home an Academy Award or not. The goodies in the bag range from locally owned businesses to well-known global brands. Since 2002, Distinctive Assets, a marketing firm with headquarters in Los Angeles, has been giving out gift bags to Oscar nominees; however, it is not connected to the Academy.

A whopping $1,26,000 is anticipated to be spent on the 'Everyone wins' gift bags this year. This year's gift bag contains more than 60 items, many of which are beauty and lifestyle-related. It also contains tickets for luxurious getaways, such as a $40,000 excursion to a Canadian estate called 'The Lifestyle', and it has over 60 items total. A stay in an Italian lighthouse for eight people, including friends and family, is also included.

This year, gifts will be carried in a Havaianas suitcase, and it is said that 50% of the products are made by women- and minority-owned businesses. Skin care items from Miage, a silk pillowcase from Blush Silks, a travel pillow from PETA, as well as goods from Ariadne Athens Skin Wellness, Daily Energy Cards, Good Reason Co, Rarete Studios, ReFa, Proflexa, Oxygenetix, and many other companies will be included in the gift packs.

The present also includes a souvenir that serves as a symbolic reminder of a piece of land in Queensland, Australia. The goodie package also includes a $25,000 project management coupon and a Maison Construction charge for home renovation. There are discounts available for services including facelifts, hair regrowth, and lipo arm shaping.

The least expensive item in the gift set is a $13.56 pack of Clif Thins and a $18 loaf of Japanese milk bread from Ginza Nishikawa. The recipient will be required to pay taxes even though the goods and services in the bag are free since they are regarded to be income.

The gift bag from Distinctive Assets in 2016 included sex toys, a vampire breast lift, and marijuana vape pens, which led to a direct argument between the company and the Academy Awards committee. Distinctive Assets is no longer permitted to use the Academy's trademark because the academy does not want to be associated with it.
