New Delhi: ‘Oh My God 2’ has been the topic of conversation for a long time. The first film was released in 2012 and has developed into a cult classic over the course of so many years. Fans have been waiting for the second installment ever since. The film's creators have now disclosed that the movie is scheduled to be released in theatres on August 11th, 2023. Akshay Kumar returns with the sequel social comedy OMG 11 years after the original movie’s release.
Fans have been fascinated by the posters for ‘Oh My God 2’, in which Akshay Kumar plays Lord Shiva instead of Lord Krishna, as seen in the previous film.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Akshay Kumar revealed when OMG 2 will hit theatres. The actor looked fascinating in the poster, holding Lord Shiva's dumru and donning long hair. "We are coming, you also come on 11th August in theatres. #OMG2," the actor wrote in the post's caption.
The poster's release date is printed in Hindi across the top, while the words "OMG 2" appear below.

‘OMG 2’ will face off against Ranbir Kapoor's ‘Animal’, which could be an interesting clash.
The forthcoming film starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, ‘Gadar 2: The Katha Continues’, will also compete with ‘OMG 2’. It's the follow-up to the first ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ from back in 2001.
In 2021, Akshay revealed his first look as Shiva, however, the project was postponed presumably because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
To complement Akshay Kumar's lead performance, the film also stars Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, Arun Govil, and Aamir Naik in significant supporting parts.
