New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor is planning to book Adipurush movie seats for 10,000 underprivileged kids, as per recent reports. 'Adipurush', a theatrical film directed by Om Raut, will be released in cinemas on June 16.
Taran Adarsh, a film industry analyst, announced the news on Thursday. “#Xclusiv… Ranbir Kapoor to book 10,000 tickets of ‘Adipurush’ for underprivileged children… Official Poster… #RanbirKapoor #Adipurush #Prabhas #KritiSanon #SaifAliKhan #SunnySingh #DevdattaNage,” he wrote on Twitter.
In the movie, Prabhas portrays Raghava, and Kriti Sanon plays Janaki. Saif Ali Khan, who is married to Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir's cousin, also appears in 'Adipurush' in addition to the lead actors. The character of Lankesh is played by Saif.
Om Raut had previously requested that a seat be left empty in every theatre in celebration of Lord Hanuman. The idea behind it is that, in accordance with belief, Lord Hanuman is always present whenever the Ramayana is quoted.
The magical tale of the Ramayana was depicted in the Adipurush film's final trailer. Talking about the film, Prabhas had earlier shared in a statement, “Every role and every character comes with its own challenges, but portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character from our epic specially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love on our film.”
Another movie with the same premise is in production as 'Adipurush' preps for its release in theatres. In the highly anticipated Nitesh Tiwari film 'Ramayana', Alia Bhatt, who previously played Sita in the blockbuster movie 'RRR', will take on the role of Goddess Sita. According to media reports, Alia has been cast as Sita with real-life husband Ranbir Kapoor, who will play Lord Ram.
T-Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, Pramod, and Vamsi of UV Creations are all backing 'Adipurush'. It was originally filmed in Hindi and has been dubbed into Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
