In what will be the first premiere for a Hollywood film in India, the makers of Netflix's 'Mowgli, director Andy Serkis, actors Christian Bale, Freida Pinto, Louis Ashbourne Serkis, and newcomer Rohan Chand, who plays Mowgli in the film, will attend the world premiere, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.


The Netflix film will premiere here on November 25. The director's son, Louis Ashbourne Serkis, and newcomer Rohan Chand, who plays Mowgli in the film, will also join the team for the event, a statement said.

Based on Rudyard Kipling's classic novel 'The Jungle Book', the movie will stream on Netflix on December 7.

The all-star voice cast of the film includes Benedict Cumberbatch as the tiger Shere Khan, Cate Blanchett as the snake Kaa and director Serkis as the voice of the bear Baloo.

Bale has lent his voice to the character of panther Bagheera. The movie also stars Naomie Harris, Peter Mullan, and Matthew Rhys.

The trailer of the film was launched last week in Singapore at Netflix's Asia event where the streaming giant also unveiled its upcoming India slate.
"The Jungle Book" tells the story of an Indian boy named Mowgli, wandering in an enchanting Indian forest with an entourage of his animal friends and fighting for survival.
