New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju has been enjoying a massive run at the box office. The film which showed different aspects of Sanjay Dutt’s life, be it his addiction with drugs or his with his trials in the Arms Acts case, has received a thumbs from both the audience and critics. The film showed how the Khalnayak actor got introduced to the world of drugs and later got addicted to it.


One of the scenes in the film revealed how Nargis Dutt’s message helped Sanjay Dutt to overcome drug addiction. In the biopic, it was revealed that Nargis (played by Manisha Koirala in Sanju), used to record audio messages to talk to her son while she was in hospital fighting the deadly cancer.

In the video, the veteran actress can be heard telling Sanjay Dutt, ‘’More than anything Sanju, keep your humility, keep your character, never show off, always be humble, and always respect the elders that is the thing that is going to take you far and that is going to give you strength in your work."

It is believed that Nargis’ advice helped Sanjay Dutt to get over drug his addiction.

Sadly, Nargis Dutt left for her heavely abode on May 3, 1981, mere 3 days before Sanjay Dutt’s first Bollywood film-Rocky’s premiere. Watch the video from 31 seconds to hear the audio message.



Sanju, which also stars Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza and Anushka Sharma in key roles, has emerged as the second highest grosser of the year after Padmaavat. The film is on a record-breaking spree ever since it released on June 29.
