Mumbai Police Raid Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra’s Residence; Businessman Files Petition In High Court
The team of Mumbai Police reached Shillpa Shetty’s residence with her husband Raj Kundra, who is in custody till July 27.
Mumbai: The Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police reached the residence of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra in an alleged case related to the production of ‘pornographic' content.
Reportedly, the team of Mumbai Police reached Shetty’s residence with her husband Raj Kundra, who is in custody till July 27. A report in ANI reads, “Maharashtra: A team of Mumbai Police Crime Branch reaches at the residence of actor Shilpa Shetty, with her husband Raj Kundra in custody in a case related to the production of pornographic films”.
Another report of ANI revealed that Raj Kundra was planning on selling 121 videos worth USD 1.2 million. The report reads, “In the WhatsApp chats, we have found that Raj Kundra was talking about a deal about selling 121 videos for USD 1.2 million. This deal seems to be on the international level: Mumbai Police”.
Meanwhile, Raj Kundra has filed a petition in Bombay High Court challenging his arrest in relation to the case. He also termed his arrest as ‘illegal’. “Actor Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra files a petition in Bombay High Court, challenging his arrest in a case related to production of pornographic films; says his arrest is illegal”, read a report of ANI.
On a related note, Raj Kundra’s police custody has been extended till July 27, 2021. He was produced in the court earlier today where the cops got his extended custody which was supposed to end today (July 23, 2021). Shilpa Shetty’s husband was arrested on July 19 after a long interrogation by the Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police.
